Delta FFA Officer Team Prepares For The Upcoming School Year
The 2026 – 2027 elected officer team got together to plan for this coming year. The officer team and their advisor left on July 6, to head towards Woodhaven Retreat in Loudonville, OH. The team returned to school on July 8. During this time the officers discussed events or activities for the school year that can be held to get more members active. They also reviewed the FFA calendar, worked on committees, developed new processes and procedures, and worked on setting SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely) goals personally and for the chapter. We are all determined to make this year a good year full of activities and greatly active members to further grow the Delta FFA Chapter.

This year we had a total of 7 officers on the team, and all attended the retreat. The positions and those who hold them include: President; Gracyn Pelton, Vice President; Archer Andrews, Secretary; Juliana Griggs, Treasurer; Ana Gilders, Reporter; Edmida Hintz, Sentinel; Hunter Elton, and the Student Advisor; Brady Murray. The group participated in bonding activities to grow stronger together as a team. This included a game called “ Priorities” where we had to work together as a team to figure out what an individual ranked five random things, and use the cards granted to spell “PRIORITIES”. They also went on nature hikes to bond not only with each other, but with the nature surrounding them. We also had group and individual pictures taken in our polos and official dress. (A good friend of Schulze’s. kindly took them, so shout out to her for the amazing pictures!) The team had also done some activities at “Mohican Adventures” including driving go-karts, putt-putt golfing, and completing various levels of a high ropes course.
During our free time, we went out to eat ice cream, watched movies, made s’mores, and rested up after a long day of activities. As for meals, we had all taken turns making meals in small groups including pancakes and sausages for breakfast, tacos and fruit for lunch, and burgers for dinner. Overall, the officer retreat was a success and we are looking forward to this school year and all the activities we have planned to further involve more members and grow the Delta FFA Chapter!
The Delta FFA Chapter would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that made this retreat possible. Thank you to Mrs. Caudill and Elzy Milling and Trade for team photos! Without your support this event would not be possible. Your actions are deeply appreciated by the officers and we are hoping for your support next year.
