Evergreen FFA Attended 3rd Grade Ag Fest

On September 15th, Evergreen FFA members attended 3rd Grade Ag Fest hosted by the Fulton
County Soil & Water at the Fulton County Fairgrounds outside of Wauseon, Ohio. At the event,
FFA chapters and community members from Fulton County conducted a variety of different
hands-on activities including veterinary practice, small animal presentation, and equipment for
the kids to learn more about. Six FFA members from Evergreen attended the event and they
were asked to create a presentation on small animal care. The members brought in chickens
and a lamb to present to the third graders. The students were able to learn more about how to
raise chickens and lambs. Students were even given the opportunity to pet and feed the
animals.

Six teens, five girls and one boy, stand shoulder to shoulder in a row on grass in front of a white metal building. They all wear matching black T-shirts with a colorful cartoon graphic and the words "Raising Steaks." Most of them wear jeans, and they are smiling.
